Firestop Technician

Consider joining EV Construction as our next Firestopping Technician (Firestopper). Firestoppers are specialists who install FM Approved and/or UL-listed fire stop systems to restore the integrity of fire-rated floor and wall assemblies after being compromised by service penetrations or construction joints. Our Firestoppers model character (ability to be trusted), chemistry (ability to work well with others) and competence (ability to work with skill).

EV Construction Firestop Solutions is a leading provider of complex fire-rated barrier installation services and has operated throughout the state of Michigan in Healthcare, Commercial and Industrial Markets. We are the only Firestop Contractor who is dually certified by FM and UL in the State of Michigan.

Ideal candidates will have some exposure to commercial construction, specifically metal stud framing, gypsum wall assemblies, and/or familiarity with MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protection) trades, but we will train the right person.
