Job DescriptionJob Description

The Concrete Form Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials to build and maintain concrete forms for various construction projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, materials required, and dimensions of concrete forms.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join lumber and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and equipment to construct forms.
  • Set up and align forms according to project specifications, ensuring proper alignment and leveling.
  • Install reinforcing steel and other embedded items as required.
  • Pour, spread, and vibrate concrete into forms using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Remove forms after concrete has set, clean and prepare forms for reuse.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the construction team, including contractors, supervisors, and other carpenters, to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues or malfunctions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Concrete Form Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials used in concrete formwork.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
