Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Direct, coordinate and oversee the daily operations of a manufacturing plant to include employee staffing, production processing, packing, dry/cold storage, inventory and incoming/outgoing loads, all within company policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 40+ employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

· Production: Developing strategies, planning and managing production to meet quality and quantity while reducing costs.

o Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.

o Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.

o Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

o Ability to ensure specific production and efficiency goals are attained including labor, inventory management, maintenance, and operational expenses.

· Safety: Observes safety and security procedures. Enforces Health and Safety protocols ensuring a Safe working environment for employees and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

· Staffing: Hiring and training employees, and ensuring they understand production processes.

· Quality: Continuously improving product quality to meet customer requirements and standards.

· Quality Management: Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

· Budget: Managing costs and capital requirements within a budget.

· Reporting: Preparing production and performance reports for senior management.

o Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.

· Leadership: Exhibits confidence in self and others; Inspires and motivates others to perform well.

· Managing People: Takes responsibility for subordinates' activities; Makes self-available to staff; Provides regular performance feedback; Develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth; Improves processes, products and services.

· Relationships: Building positive relationships with employees, customers and suppliers.

o Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Human Resource Department for action.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor of Science in Management/Engineering and/or combination 10 years related experience and/or training.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to communicate in English and Spanish a plus.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Other Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Quality Control and Food safety procedures and guidelines.

Have good peripheral vision, color discrimination, and depth perception.

Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
