Accudyn Products, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team. We provide a high-energy environment with a culture that supports individual growth & opportunities. We are looking for a self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills who, with attention to detail, can work in a team environment to help deliver a quality product to our customers.

Available Shifts:

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Summary: The Quality Inspector is responsible for effectively monitoring, measuring, and evaluating quality characteristics of plastic injection molded products and processes to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed our customer’s quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand blueprints, including GD&T dimensioning, and other Quality documents such as control pans and in-process inspection sheets.
  • Determine and apply the proper gauge and gauging method to part dimensions as required by drawing specification.
  • Utilize vision and touch probe systems such as a CMM, OGP, and/or a 3D scanner to measure product specifications.
  • Use stereo and digital microscopes for optimal specification measurements.
  • Perform first shot, last shot, visual, and dimensional inspections, and floor audits for assigned product.
  • Identify and contain defective product and effectively communicate quality concerns.
  • Communicate suggestions to improve or enhance documentation and/or quality processes.
  • Maintain housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • May be required to perform other tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in quality control focused on injection molded products and components.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand advanced blueprints including GD&T dimensioning.
  • Ability to use vision systems such as a CMM, OGP, and/or a 3D scanner.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems that arise on the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply new methods as it relates to the Quality/Production manufacturing functions.
  • Knowledge of Contact Management systems (Outlook), spreadsheet software (Excel), and Word Processing software (Word).
  • Goal oriented and a team player with self-motivation.
  • Performs functional responsibilities with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers and management both verbally and in writing.
  • Employee should have basic knowledge of plastics.
