Position Summary:

The Vice President of Digital Engagement & Analytics is responsible for leading the global Digital Marketing and Data Services teams. Reporting to the Chief Digital & Technology Officer (CDTO), this position is primarily focused on developing and executing a comprehensive digital strategy that enhances community (customer) engagement, leverages data analytics and insights for decision-making, and drives digital innovation. This role will guide both teams in harnessing data to deliver meaningful insights that drive strategic initiatives, utilizing analytics and predictive modeling to better understand customer behavior and trends.

Essential Functions:

  1. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of digital marketing, data science and analytics experienced professionals. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven culture within the team.
  2. Collaborate closely with other senior leaders and departments globally to ensure the digital and data-driven strategy is integrated across the ministry. Communicate digital initiatives and results effectively to stakeholders at all levels helping to improve decision-making and create new opportunities for the ministry.
  3. Develop and implement a cohesive digital and data strategy that aligns with the ministry’s overall objectives, focusing on enhancing customer engagement and driving digital innovation globally.
  4. Advocate and oversee the creation of robust data governance policies, ensuring ethical use of data, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and data privacy and security.
  5. Promote a culture that understands the value of data integrity and quality in driving accurate analyses and outcomes.
  6. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the ministry ensuring alignment with business outcomes and objectives. Assess the impact of data driven initiatives on the ministry’s performance.
  7. Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns that effectively reach target audiences and drive engagement. Utilize various digital channels, including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and content marketing, to maximize reach and impact. Implement advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to predict customer behaviors and market trends.
  8. Champion the enhancement of the customer journey across digital platforms, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and personalized experience for all users. Utilize customer feedback and analytics to continually refine and improve the digital experience.
  9. Stay current with emerging digital technologies and trends. Foster an environment of innovation within the team, encouraging the exploration and adoption of new tools and technologies that can drive growth and efficiency.

Study or Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in digital marketing, data analytics, and technology leadership roles and at least 5 years in a senior management or executive position.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, analytics tools, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and digital technology trends.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital strategies that have significantly improved customer engagement, business performance, and digital innovation.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Innovative and strategic thinker, with a passion for digital transformation and a customer-centric approach.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and big data technologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices.
  • Strive to live a life consistent with biblical principles, engaged with the Bible on a consistent basis and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development.

Internal Work Environment:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve communication channels among various teams and departments to ensure effective flow of information throughout the organization. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and teamwork.
  • Handle sensitive situations or controversial issues with tact, discretion, and sensitivity. Exhibit excellent judgment regarding the appropriate content and timing of communications.
  • Break down complex concepts into easily understandable formats for various audiences across the organization. Develop strategies to present and share complex information.
  • Create and deliver presentations for meetings and other high-level gatherings.

External Communication:

Establish and maintain communication with vendors, partners, and other external stakeholders. Understand their needs, expectations, and requirements to foster positive and productive relationships and model biblical principles.

Leadership Responsibility:

Provide global leadership for digital marketing and data services teams.

Stewardship of Resources:

Contribute to the budget planning process for digital marketing and data initiatives, providing expert input on anticipated resources required for data, campaigns, as well as necessary tools and technologies. Offer insightful feedback to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with project goals.

Miscellaneous:

Occasional domestic and international travel.
