Our clients objective is discovers, develops, and markets vertical integration of pharmaceutical manufacturing and private label skincare. The company manufactures pharmaceutical products to assist physicians with their patients in the areas of dermatology and plastic surgery. The medications are customized to meet the needs of patients that are unable to tolerate commercially available medications.

Pharmacist position core information:

This Pharmacist position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety. The pharmacist sets the standard for rigorous adherence to high work ethic, productivity, and commitment by exemplifying these traits and leading by example to the team. You will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines. In addition, you will offer clinical expertise and counseling to patients, promoting the safe and effective use of medications.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with prescribers and pharmacy team members to resolve patient- specific prescription issues
  • Address patient and prescriber medication questions and issues
  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify the accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed medications by reviewing the medication order and patient information.
  • Monitor drug therapies for potential drug interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic duplications.
  • Provide clinical counseling to patients regarding medication use, dosage instructions, potential side effects, and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication profiles, including allergies, medical conditions, and current medications.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy practices, including controlled substance regulations.
  • Handle special projects as well as perform other duties that may be assigned
  • Capable of inventory management of medications, ensuring appropriate stock levels and proper storage conditions.
  • Provide support and guidance to pharmacy technicians, ensuring their adherence to established protocols and guidelines.

  • Proven multi-tasking ability with a capability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment

Experience & Qualifications

  • A valid, clear and active pharmacist license in Florida is required.
  • Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Proven experience as a pharmacist, preferably in a retail or community pharmacy setting.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong clinical and patient counseling skills.
  • Proficient in using pharmacy software systems and technology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.
