Job Title: Temporary GL Accountant

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Duration: 4 to 6 months (Temporary)

Position Overview: We are seeking a Temporary GL (General Ledger) Accountant to join our finance team for a duration of 4 to 6 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with GL processes, and excellent attention to detail. This role will be responsible for supporting month-end close activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and other accounting functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Perform general ledger account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Accounts Payables and Receivables
  • Collaborate with other members of the finance team to support various accounting projects and initiatives.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
  • Assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a GL or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Location and Duration: This position is based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and is a temporary opportunity for 4 to 6 months. The duration may be subject to extension based on business needs and performance.
