As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. Your primary focus will be on managing a team of warehouse staff, optimizing workflows, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment. You will play a critical role in streamlining processes, improving productivity, and meeting customer demands while adhering to industry standards and company policies.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse personnel, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.

Delegate tasks effectively, providing clear instructions and setting performance objectives.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and support for team members' growth and development.

 

2. Warehouse Operations:

Oversee the receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Plan and coordinate daily activities to meet production schedules and customer demands.

Implement and maintain best practices in warehouse management, optimizing space utilization and inventory control.

 

3. Inventory Management:

    Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

    Conduct periodic cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring inventory accuracy and data integrity.

    Collaborate with the procurement team to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock levels.

 

4. Safety and Compliance:

    Uphold strict safety standards and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

    Conduct regular safety training sessions for warehouse staff and promote a safety-first culture.

 

5. Process Improvement:

    Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency enhancing initiatives.

    Utilize data and analytics to assess performance metrics and make data driven decisions.

    Continuously evaluate warehouse processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.

 

6. Equipment Maintenance:

    Ensure all warehouse equipment is well maintained and in safe working condition.

    Schedule regular inspections and servicing of machinery and equipment as needed.

 

7. Collaboration:

    Collaborate with other departments (e.g., logistics, production, customer service) to ensure seamless coordination and smooth operations.

    Communicate effectively with management, providing regular updates on warehouse performance and challenges.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a warehouse manager or a similar leadership role. (Minimum 3 years)

 Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.

 Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously.

 Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.

 Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.

 Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive working relationships with team members and other stakeholders.

 Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and occasionally lift heavy items.
