Registered Nurse Supervisor - Medical Respite Unit

Location: Oak Park, IL

Schedule: PRN (as needed), Approximately 8 hours/week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Description: Sunbelt is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at a Medical Respite unit. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing clinical care and support to individuals experiencing homelessness who require post-acute-care medical services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical intake assessments and develop care plans
  • Supervise medical assistants and ensure quality care delivery
  • Coordinate client care with hospitals, pharmacies, and clinics
  • Assist clients with medical needs, including wound care and medication management
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment plans
  • Arrange transportation for clinical appointments and coordinate telehealth visits
  • Ensure availability of clinical and office supplies
  • Provide support and guidance to the multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or diploma in nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in home health care or public health settings
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
  • Previous experience working with homeless populations
