Job Description: Payroll Processor

Business Cents (BC) is seeking a payroll processor who can address our clients’ payroll needs.

We offer several back-office solutions to companies from various industries. It is important to note that one of BC’s priorities is to maintain a friendly, comfortable work culture for all employees and its clients. That priority starts with the right person, as much as ability.

Results You Own: Accurate, On-Time Payroll and Client Awareness

Required responsibilities and skills:

Managing Payroll Workflow and Prioritizing Tasks

  • Time Management: Efficiently managing time to handle multiple payroll tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Organizational Skills: Keeping track of various payroll activities and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Retrieving and Entering Payroll Information

  • Data Entry Accuracy: Entering payroll data accurately to avoid errors.

  • Payroll Software Proficiency: Using payroll software to input and manage payroll information.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring all data entered is correct and complete.

Reviewing Payroll Data for Compliance and Accuracy

  • Knowledge of Payroll Regulations: Understanding federal and state payroll laws to ensure compliance.

  • Analytical Skills: Identifying and correcting discrepancies or errors in payroll data.

  • Tax Knowledge: Familiarity with payroll-related taxation, including withholding and reporting.

Documenting and Recording Information

  • Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate and organized records of payroll transactions for future reference.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring all records are complete and correctly documented.

  • Excellent Computer Skills: Proficiency in using Excel for data organization and Word for documentation.

Collaborating with Clients

  • Client Interaction: Communicating effectively with clients to obtain necessary information and address any issues.

  • Customer Service: Providing excellent support and answering client queries related to payroll.

Identifying and Supporting Ancillary Services

  • Problem-Solving: Identifying needs for additional services and finding solutions to support those needs.

  • Flexibility: Adapting to the introduction of new services or changes in existing processes.

Maintaining Client Retention

  • Customer Service: Delivering high-quality service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

  • Communication Skills: Engaging effectively with clients to build and maintain positive relationships.

Supporting Tax and Payroll Lead

  • Team Collaboration: Working collaboratively with Payroll Team, Tax manager and Payroll Lead

  • Adaptability: Assisting with various tasks and responsibilities as directed.

Continuous Learning and Adaptability

  • Continuous Learning: Staying updated on changes in payroll systems and regulations.

  • Flexibility: Adapting to new technologies and internal process improvements.
