Receiving Technician  
Location: Bethlehem, PA  
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM  
Compensation: $20/hr

Summary:  
The Receiving Technician supports the Receiving Coordinator in organizing and processing receipts of materials and maintaining inventory stock and records. This role involves receiving and documenting study drug returns for re-distribution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Load and off-load materials/supplies from common carriers  
  • Receive and stage materials/supplies in the Receiving Area  
  • Separate general business materials/supplies from Job Order and cGMP materials/supplies  
  • Enter receipts of materials/supplies into the Receiving Report database, assigning Batch (Receiving) numbers to designated Job Order and cGMP materials/supplies  
  • Process inbound deliveries in the SAP system  
  • Verify delivered materials comply with Purchase Orders or Customer documentation and notify Project Management and supervisor of discrepancies  
  • Prepare Receipt Labels and apply Quarantine status labels for Job Order and cGMP materials/supplies  
  • Prepare Receiving Reports for ordered and Customer-provided materials/supplies after being received per SOP  
  • Deliver general business materials/supplies to appropriate requesters or notify them if unable to deliver  
  • Position materials/supplies to appropriate locations and update the inventory system (SAP)  
  • Operate company forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, etc., conducting daily service inspections as required  
  • Maintain work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition  
  • Coordinate with other departments and customers to ensure smooth material flow  
  • Prepare and distribute periodic reports on inventory and receiving activities  
  • Adhere to safety standards  
  • Participate in regular meetings  
  • Achieve expected performance measures  
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:  

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred  
  • 1-3 years’ experience in shipping and warehousing, with pharmaceutical and international experience preferred  
  • Ability to work in supply chain management, handle multiple tasks, and meet critical deadlines  
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to interact with team members, peers, management, and external contacts  
  • Ability to interpret cGMPs, FDA, DEA, OSHA, and IATA Regulations, and ISO guidelines  
  • Proficient in personal computers and Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Project, and Excel
