Monrovia, United States LAW OFFICE OF SAM CHANDRA APC Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

* IMPORTANT Please read the entire post and instructions before applying *

You have put in years to get your law degree and pass the bar.  If you are looking to stop learning now because “you made it”, then “swipe left”.  If you want a low stress job that gets you nowhere, hoping you can move laterally, “swipe left”.

If you want the challenge and rewards that come from working with, and being taught by a leader in a field, then read on.

This is an opportunity to learn to litigate, advocate, instill confidence in clients, and learn to run a law office. We work hard and sometimes have “race horse” days but we try to go home at 4:30 every day.

About the company:
- Sam Chandra established in 2003 and now primarily provide legal services to purchasers of foreclosed homes.
- Due to the stable stream of work from our current established clients, we no longer advertise our services. We are NOT accepting any new clients. We are saturated with the current stream of work.  The stress of searching for new clients has been eliminated here.

The above exemplifies what we believe is a significant difference in the management style of this office. We have always treated and represented our clients as though their business interests were our business interests, minimizing costs and attorney’s fees incurred through strategy wherever possible. Because of this, we have a loyal base of clients that we have been working with for well over a decade. They trust us at a high level because we have earned their trust time and time again. It also means that we don’t have to “handhold”. We have a corporate culture that requires every member to be humble, supportive, and responsive. Each member of the team must be a team player, be willing to help all others with any task they are capable of assisting, anticipate the needs of others, and be proactive in providing assistance to the team.

Our Cardinal Rules are: 1. Do not assume; 2. Be honest and transparent; 3. When (not if but when) you make a mistake, own it, announce it, and then: allow your team to assist in the remedy as needed and learn from it; 4. Be a team player; 5. Double-check your work.

We are required to switch tasks regularly to maintain the changing workflow. This office requires persons to be able to multi-task, continuously pay extreme attention to detail, and follow through on all tasks. Attorneys here (once trained) are required to draft all parts of their motions, from notice through proof of service, and to ensure everything is accurate.

We represent Plaintiffs in dispossessory actions typically brought under CCP §§1161 and 1161a, with the vast majority being the latter as we file post-foreclosure cases throughout the State of California. A working knowledge and experience with Unlawful Detainer cases is invaluable. We will train as to area of post-foreclosure practice.

We are seeking a candidate with either a business background or a strong business sense. They will be expected to eventually learn all aspects of small firm management and grow into a person who will assist in running all parts of this office. This will require work dedication, growth, and a commitment to excellence and learning.

Must be licensed and in good standing with the CA state bar.

If you are looking for this type of opportunity then please apply.

Please submit your CV and reasons why you believe this would be a good fit for you.

Thank you,
