Responsible for the ensure the Logistics Process in the Control Point, Inbound and Outbound activities on behalf of the customer, for all issued orders - with or without framework agreement
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Expedites purchase orders from the moment of their arrival to control Point until the goods are shipped to be delivered to final destination.
• Has control and registered all arrival and departure dates for all shipments.
• Coordinates all the necessary actions to make sure all shipments are received on time at control point and registered on the system (LIS) accordingly.
• Agreed with Logistics Coordinator assigns priorities/urgencies for material verification and process at control Point.
• Follow up on hold codes to be updated in a timely manner.
• Communicate with Suppliers in case of any nonconformity found at control point (damages, incomplete, incorrect, additional materials, additional documentation, etc)
• Follow up on the solution of all nonconformities and communicate those solutions to control point and PPI Logistics personnel.
• Ensure the Verification process of all the materials with the quality levels
• Contacts vendors and requests necessary documentations in support of customer’s efforts to comply with Mexican customs regulations at port of entry, when applicable, and in accordance to the PPI’S clients’ request.
• Interprets, analyzes reports, and takes actions by resolving frequents discrepancies on shipments
• Ensure have the correct documentation to export and import process of the material with the AA
• When required, sends customers written communications related to the delivery of goods (requesting clarifications, acceptance, of partial shipments, goods with different part number or cancelation of obsolete parts)
• Notifies delivery of goods to site or final destinations within the agreed time framework
• Responds internal and external customers’ inquiries related to the delivery status of an order
• In coordination with Logistics Specialist, Prepare the Transportation Outbound Plan by Destination to consolidate to make sure goods are delivered in a timely and adequate manner with all parties involved.
• Coordinate the Carrier to Transportation, ensure correct loading of materials into units and follow up of the deliveries with the finals users and ensure the sign of the POD’s
• Identifies and calculates liquidated damages to suppliers for late delivery, applicable to purchase orders outside of a Framework Agreement
• Notifies suppliers of the accrued liquidated damages to be applied for late delivery
• Reviews, follows up and validates invoices submitted by provider of services
• Communicates with suppliers and customers to assist as needed in the clarification of the terms and conditions of the P.O.’s
• Registers P.O.’s placed outside the Automated Information Systems that require expediting, transportation and/or inspection by PPI
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of four year college or university degree in a technical or administrative field; and a minimum of three years in activities related to materials logistics
· or five years of experience in materials inspection and logistics
