Property Maintenance Technician:

We are located on the beautiful coast of Maine an hour from Portland. We offer housing for employees with private bedroom and bathroom, communal kitchen, laundry and living area.

Armstrong Property Management is seeking a motivated individual to join our company as a Property Maintenance Technician. We service the Boothbay Harbor Country Club and its associated buildings including; Giselaine’s Spa, the BHCC Wellness Center, Oceanside Golf Resort, as well as a myriad of employee housing properties. In this role, you will address all sorts of common maintenance issues, completing repairs and installations as well as performing other duties as necessary. You must be able to address a host of property issues, such as electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, air conditioning, and heating systems. Our ideal candidate has several years of maintenance experience. A positive, team-oriented attitude is a must.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General knowledge of the tools, methods, and materials used in building maintenance work; resort or other commercial maintenance experience is a plus.

  • Perform installations of fixtures and appliances, and replacement of damaged systems

  • Diagnose and repair problems with HVAC, electricity, and water systems

  • Perform building inspections and determine areas and equipment that need attention

  • Perform general labor such as loading, unloading, installing, and moving supplies

  • Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)

 

Property Maintenance Technician Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate; vocational or trade school certification preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, and electrical systems

  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

  • Good physical condition and strength (i.e. ability to lift 50+ pounds)

  • Paid on-call to respond to emergency issues, willingness to work overtime
