Opportunity 

We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Marketing to lead our strategic marketing initiatives and drive brand growth for Life Surge. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of creativity and analytical acumen, with a proven track record of success in business-to-consumer (B2C) retail environments. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate the fast-paced world of live events, educational programs, and retail, while embracing flexibility and agility to spearhead new initiatives. This is a new role within our company and reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.    

Responsibilities 

  • Develop Strategic Marketing Plans: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. 

  • Brand Positioning and Messaging: Define and articulate the Life Surge brand positioning, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and communications. 

  • Creative Campaign Management: Conceptualize and oversee the creation of innovative, engaging marketing campaigns that resonate with our target audience and drive engagement. 

  • Digital Marketing: Direct digital marketing efforts across various platforms, including social media, email marketing, SEO, SEM, and affiliate marketing, to maximize online visibility and conversion. 

  • Media management: Oversee digital and traditional media plans, optimizing media mix, ROAS, messaging strategy, and performance.  

  • Customer Insights and Analytics: Utilize data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies, optimize campaign performance, and identify growth opportunities. 

  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with influencers, brands, and organizations to expand our reach and enhance brand credibility. 

  • Event Marketing: Collaborate with the events team to develop integrated marketing plans for live events, workshops, and educational programs, ensuring seamless execution and maximum attendance. 

  • Marketing communications: Manage marketing communications, public relations, reputation management, social media teams. 

  • Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively, allocating resources to initiatives that deliver the highest ROI and impact. 

  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning. 

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate marketing strategies, performance metrics, and key insights to executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align priorities and drive organizational growth. 

Qualifications 

The strongest candidates will have a broad general marketing background with strong analytical skills and experience managing larger teams and significant budgets.  

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions. 

  • Exceptional creativity and strategic thinking, with a passion for storytelling and brand building. 

  • Experience managing large digital direct response marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, and search.  

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.  

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a willingness to embrace change and drive innovation.  

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.  

  • Knowledge of emerging marketing trends, technologies, and best practices in the retail, events, and education industries. 

Requirements 

1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. 

2. Minimum of 15+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a focus on B2C retail environments, live events, or education sectors. 

3. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive brand growth and revenue.
