Job Title: EHS Assistant

Location: Solon, OH

Shift: 1st Shift -8am - 5 pm ( Monday to Friday)

Pay rate: $19/ hour

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

Work with the Solan, Ohio EHS3 Health & Safety Team on the following programs:

  • SDS database support, Document management & maintenance
  • Contacting vendors and distributors for technical information
  • Work with various functions across site, such as maintenance, engineering, and operations, to obtain required information for EHS projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

Necessary:

  • Current in studies to obtain or currently possess a bachelors degree in sciences, occupational safety, engineering, or related STEM fields;
  • Currently studying or completed at least one (1) year of basic chemistry;
  • Interest in some aspect of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) field; and
  • Position shall be based at Solon Site (Solon, Ohio USA).

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Competent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills & able to technical writing
  • Comfortable working in an industrial or an office environment
  • Must be able to wear required PPE: Safety shoes, safety glasses, long sleeves, pants, & other protective gear as necessary (Tyvek suit, respirator, hard hat, etc)
