Insurance Restoration Estimator

INSURANCE RESTORATION ESTIMATOR

MUST BE PROFICIENT IN XACTIMATE - 3-5 years of experience required.
College degree or equivalent work experience required.

We are looking for a diligent Estimator to prepare accurate Xactimate estimates for projects by gathering information for submission to various insurance carriers. These will be mostly for residential and small commercial claims throughout the state of Maryland. We are looking for candidates that currently reside in Maryland and can report to our office in Gambrills throughout the course of the week.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers to set the appointment for an on-site inspection.
• Produce a detailed estimate including photographs of each project within a preset deadline.
• Work with a licensed public adjuster and construction project managers.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters.

Skills

• Proven experience as an estimator or similar position in the insurance field or construction field.
• Knowledgeable in local and Maryland building codes.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities

• Thoroughness and reliability
• Detailed oriented
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficient use of Xactimate

Salary/commission/pay will be discussed at the interview and will be based on experience and demonstrated skills. You will be required to provide your own vehicle and should have the appropriate equipment available to properly assess damage on-site in order to produce the required Xactimate estimate.

Some weekend work may be required.

The ideal candidate for this position MUST BE RELIABLE and COMMUNICATE WELL, MUST BE personable and able to meet deadlines. You will be part of a team working with a Maryland licensed public adjuster and construction project managers.
