About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team at a leading mental health and substance use facility in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing comprehensive care to patients with mental health disorders and substance use issues. This role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality psychiatric care and support our patients' journey toward recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for new and existing patients.
• Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor medications, adjusting as necessary based on patient response.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, including psychotherapy, counseling, and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication management.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Stay current with advances in psychiatric care and treatment modalities.
