Totally 4 Kids is looking for fun, smart and enthusiastic childhood development professionals to join our TEAM. We are seeking full-time and part-time early childhood educators for Preschool or Toddler age children. Applicants must be professional, flexible, dependable and willing to learn. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building memorable connections with parents, expressing their creativity, supporting and collaborating with team members and instilling a lifelong love for learning in our children. Student teaching experience preferred.

Retired teachers, current early education students, or childcare professional working toward or currently with a CDA, TCC, associated degree or higher please apply.

Position available:

  • Full-time Preschool Teacher:

Rate of pay: $11.50-$13.00/hr. (Depending on experience and education. Must at minimum be willing to attend school to earn a TCC, usually takes 3 months to complete a TCC at Atlanta Tech or Technical College of your choice)

Work Schedule: 7:30 am-4:30 pm, Monday – Friday (1 hour break)

Note: Off weekends and major holidays. (Holiday calendar is provided)

 

Duties:

Educator responsibilities include maintaining an organized and clean classroom, implementing approved lesson plans, guiding and aiding our little learners. Responsible for the supervision and daily class functions of a classroom. Must follow a daily classroom schedule using the creative curriculum and materials. Forms and maintains positive partnerships with parents. 10 hours of annual training required (these training are free and provided by the state).

Cleanliness is a must, teachers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of his or her classroom. These duties include disinfecting tables, sweeping and mopping classroom, re-organizing classroom prior to end of shift, washing plastic toys on Fridays and rotating the cleaning of main restroom with other teachers.

We are a smaller facility and we pride ourselves on small classrooms, enabling us to give children more one on one attention. We believe in teamwork. Every team member is important and can effect the overall performance of the school. We are in need of someone reliable, efficient and willing to educate our young scholars.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to form positive relationships with children, knowledge of social, emotional needs of children.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Lead Teachers must have or willing to work toward a TCC (usually takes 3 months to complete), CDA , or degree
  • Must be 17 and over
  • Must be able to pass a background check
