Overview:
In this role, you will leverage the DocuSign contract management system to develop and review contracting documents associated with each New Contracting Request (NCR) submitted. This is a hybrid position based in Atlanta, offering a dynamic environment that combines remote work with in-office collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize DocuSign CLM System to prepare and review contractual agreements, ensuring alignment with client needs and requirements.
- Collaborate with a legal team of attorneys to complete the contract process efficiently.
- Develop or review contracts using pre-loaded templates or vendor-prepared agreements, ensuring all necessary clauses, budget details, and payment provisions are included.
- Ensure preliminary internal approvals (Procurement, Legal Consultation, Initial Budget Review) are completed and incorporate any necessary feedback into the contracting documents.
- Review vendor-prepared agreements for completeness, noting any corrections needed and communicating them to the requesting office.
- Assist with approving requisitions within TeamWorks during the transition from PeopleSoft to WorkDay.
- Manage the processing of amendments, extensions, or renewals during the contract lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of legal or paralegal experience, with a strong preference for direct experience in contract law.
- Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Level 3.
- In-depth knowledge of current, legally binding contractual language and terminology.
- Flexibility to work in a virtual or office setting as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues and propose solutions effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Adherence to company policies and procurement rules and regulations.
- Familiarity with negotiation best practices, considering cultural norms and the client’s best interests.
