The primary responsibility of the IT Specialist is the design, development and support of the company’s technology infrastructure including hardware and software. The IT Specialist will work closely with the other IT personnel and perform system administration duties, to include:

 

· Managing IT and research and development computer assets

· Installation, configuration and maintenance of IT related hardware and software

· Monitoring of server performance and resolution of issues

· Monitoring of network performance, reliability, and security and resolution of issues

· Monitoring industry security technologies and best practices to improve security

· Providing for remote access via VPN and Citrix technologies

· Performing system backups and recovery

· Performing application and license management

· Development and execution of the company’s long term IT plan
