Job Summary
Premier Safety is seeking a Warehouse Logistics Associate to efficiently receive, store, and distribute materials, equipment, and products within our Sterling Heights, MI branch. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting overall company objectives. Premier Safety is an industry leader in the sales, leasing, and service of head-to-toe personal protection equipment (PPE), technical safety products, and facility management solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Manage daily activities in the warehouse to meet and exceed company objectives, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and timely shipping.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas, sorting and placing them on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing stations or shipping departments, preparing parcels for mailing and shipping.
  • Use computer systems to enter records into CRM and ERP systems, maintaining and adjusting inventory records for the location.
  • Drive vehicles to transport stored items from the warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
  • Train and supervise hazardous transportation procedures for the location.
  • Check and verify all sales and rental orders for outbound shipping, processing customer returns, and managing all building and facility issues.
  • Control and reconcile internal credit card/purchasing for incremental purchases for all departments at the corporate location.
  • Order and control inventory on packing supplies for all locations.
Requirements
  • Ability to use hands for handling, feeling, and reaching objects, with frequent standing, walking, and occasional sitting.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work safely in environments with exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, high places, airborne particles, and outside weather conditions.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of related experience.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, with preferred skills/knowledge in ERP and CRM systems.
