Job Title: Quality Control Inspector (TTH)

Pay: $23.50

Shifts: 3rd shift 10:30pm - 7:00am (training 12pm-8:30pm)

Location: South Elgin, IL

Objective/Purpose: The Quality Assurance Coordinator works directly with production operators, shipping/receiving and material handlers. This includes production set up and support as well as material sign off and approvals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Machine component and production checklist verification

  • Confirm Line clearance, material allocation, setup verification and 1st piece approvals

  • Communicate findings with the VP of Operations/ Quality Manager

  • Verify and approve products released for shipment.

  • Perform tasks related to incoming materials, outgoing final inspection, and the investigation/assistance on non-conforming items.

  • Utilizing measuring equipment which includes calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gages.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicating with others to exchange information, via operating a computer and conversing with production personnel and management.

  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers to operate computer and inspect product utilizing measuring equipment.

  • Determining the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

  • Ascending or descending ladders and stairs.

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.

  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.

  • Operating machinery and/or power tools.

Required Experience/Skills/Education:

  • Two + years’ experience as a QA Inspector in a production environment.

  • Familiar with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and force gages.

  • Must speak, read, and write fluently in English (Bilingual in Spanish is a plus).

  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

  • Must have strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
