Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Database Report Writer to join our team
This person would be responsible to take our internal report requests from our team, and create reports from our new timesheet database (Autotime/UKG) that will be used by Supervisors, HR, and other management as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile detailed reports using various database tools and making recommendations from the findings.
- Gather data and information from various sources including databases, interviews, surveys, and other relevant sources.
- Analyze data and information to identify key findings, trends, or insights that need to be communicated in the report.
- Write clear, concise, and well-structured reports that effectively convey the findings of the analysis. This may include executive summaries, detailed analyses, and recommendations.
- Ensure that reports are properly formatted according to organizational or client guidelines. This includes proper use of headings, tables, graphs, and other visual aids to enhance readability and understanding.
- Review and edit reports for accuracy, clarity, coherence, grammar, and spelling errors.
- Work closely with colleagues, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to gather input, clarify requirements, and ensure that reports meet the needs of the audience.
- Manage deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure that reports are completed and delivered on time.
Qualifications:
- Experience using SQL, Access, Crystal Reports or other related databases
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as English, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in report writing, preferably in a professional setting.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret data and information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.
