Job Title: Receiving Technician - 1st Shift

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Pay: $20 per hour

Summary:
The Receiving Technician supports the Receiving Coordinator in organizing and processing material receipts and maintaining inventory stock and records, including receiving and documenting study drug returns for re-distribution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load and off-load materials to/from common carriers.
  • Receive and stage materials in the Receiving Area.
  • Separate general business materials from Job Order and cGMP materials.
  • Enter receipts into the database, assigning Batch numbers as needed.
  • Process inbound deliveries in the SAP system.
  • Ensure delivered materials comply with Purchase Orders or Customer documentation and notify Project Management of discrepancies.
  • Prepare Receipt Labels and apply Quarantine status labels for Job Order and cGMP materials.
  • Prepare Receiving Reports for materials following SOPs.
  • Deliver materials to appropriate requesters or notify them if unable to deliver.
  • Position materials to appropriate locations and update the inventory system (SAP).
  • Operate company equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck) and conduct daily inspections.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
  • Coordinate with other departments and customers to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on inventory and receiving activity.
  • Adhere to safety standards.
  • Participate in regular meetings and achieve performance measures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in shipping and warehousing, preferably in pharmaceuticals.
  • Ability to manage supply chain tasks, handle multiple priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members, management, and external contacts.
  • Ability to interpret cGMPs, FDA, DEA, OSHA, and IATA regulations, and ISO guidelines.
  • Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Project, and Excel.
