Position Summary
Veritas Steel is seeking a dynamic and experienced Continuous Improvement Coordinator to join our team in Palatka, FL. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement initiatives across all departments at our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in process improvement, project management, and have a passion for fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Continuous Improvement Projects: Identify, develop, and implement improvement projects across various departments to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with departmental heads and team members to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic plans to address them.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the progress of improvement initiatives and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
- Standardization: Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
- Problem Solving: Facilitate problem-solving sessions using techniques such as root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all improvement projects, including goals, timelines, progress, and outcomes.
- Change Management: Support the organization in managing change effectively, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum engagement.
Requirements and skills
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferred in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Certification: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a continuous improvement or process improvement role, preferably within the manufacturing or steel fabrication industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, statistical analysis software, and project management tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and influence others without direct authority.
