Responsibilities
- Maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems located in buildings, in underground vaults, and confined spaces, as well as reading and understanding construction documents, shop drawings, layout work, and material lists, are some of the essential duties of this position
- When emergencies and/or extreme weather conditions occur, the functions of this position may be deemed essential, and employees must report to work and/or remain on duty during their regularly scheduled work hours or the work hours designated by their supervisors
Ideal Candidate
- Applicants must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and the physical ability to perform all job functions as required in a facilities setting on a boarding high school campus.
- Operational knowledge of building management systems (Siemens preferred), and a working knowledge of all trades that make up mechanical and plumbing systems is required.
- Candidate must understand that overtime will be required as necessary.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work as a team as well as independently is essential for success
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the HVAC discipline
- Possess a current Massachusetts Journeyman HVAC/R Technician License
- High School Diploma,
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Having a current Massachusetts Sheet Metal Workers License is a plus.
- Must have and use personal vehicle while performing job duties.
