Delavan Contracting Services is a residential and commercial contracting firm located out of Lake Oswego which serves Oregon and Washington.

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Maintenance Supervisor 1. This is a full-time employment opportunity for one who wishes to grow the division and eventually have a team of multiple handymen to supervise.

This team member will conduct the following duties, but is not limited to:

Walkthroughs:

  1. Walkthroughs and reporting repairs.
  2. Documenting through photos and detailed notes for inspections (for rentals and homes to be listed for sale).

Physical Repairs:

  1. Physical Repairs for properties when needed. (est. 2-3 days in field)
  2. When incoming Repairs exceed the 2-3 days in field, hire out a handyman subcontractor.
  3. Attend weekly Monday meetings with Property Management to consult as needed to determine scope of incoming repairs.
  4. One weekend a month for “On Call”

Contracting:

  1. Perform handyman work when needed at larger projects.
  2. Subcontract handyman when needed for larger projects.
  3. Help coordinate vendors for larger scope repair items.
  4. Oversee Turnovers for rentals for quality check.
  5. Coordinate painting jobs.

Financial:

  1. Quality Control on invoicing
  2. Creation of Delavan Handyman invoices

Sales:

  1. Attend BNI meetings (networking group) and follow through on BNI duties.

 

Start Date: 7/31/2024

 

Hours:

40 hours a week (some fluctuation may occur) with approved overtime as needed.

 

Compensation:

Starting pay will be $30-$40 per hour (negotiable with offer). Raise will be offered at 90 days (once probationary period has ended) with the additional opportunity of another raise at 1 year.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with construction/handyman work both physical and coordination of jobs.
  • Ability to learn new software (Appfolio, BuilderTrend, etc)
  • Possess a high level of knowledge of common maintenance issues along with the ability to complete maintenance items.
  • Minimum of GED or high school diploma.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner, both verbally and via writing.
  • Ability to complete tasks from start to finish and manage progression throughout process.
  • Trusted and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to provide quality control over daily, weekly, and monthly operations.
  • Ability to learn Appfolio (property management software) and other software.
