Key Responsibilities:
- Design dies and tooling to support our manufacturing processes.
- Design custom machines to automate various aspects of the company’s operations.
- Utilize Autodesk Inventor for all 3D modeling tasks.
- Collaborate with the owners, tool makers & maintenance to ensure designs meet specifications and are optimized for production.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of existing designs and processes.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Basic proficiency in 3D modeling, preferably with Autodesk Inventor.
- Some hands-on experience with machining and a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A background in engineering or manufacturing is preferred, but not required if relevant experience or aptitude is demonstrated.
Training and Development:
- You will undergo a succession process where the current designer will train you in the role.
- Additional classes on Autodesk Inventor and other relevant software can be provided.
- You will receive hands-on mentoring to learn specific design processes and integrate into our team.
Qualifications:
- Open to candidates with various educational backgrounds as long as they have relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in design, machining, or a related field is highly valued.
