Position Qualifications:

Minimum

Two years of previous grant writing experience.  Strong written and oral communication skills.  Ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.  Strong editing skills.  Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines for grant opportunities.  Attention to details and ability to meet deadlines.

Primary Functions:

  • Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare grant proposals.
  •  Perform research to evaluate prospects for grant funding.
  • Responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of agency history and programs.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of agency’s funding sources and each source’s unique statistical and fiscal requirements.
  • Notify appropriate agency staff regarding grant changes as they arise.
  • Provide training as needed to appropriate agency staff regarding changes to grant data collection and reporting requirements prior to the next reporting cycle.
  • Ensure grants applications and reports are submitted in accordance with grant requirements.
  • Monitor information maintained in the Osnium Program and runs reports as needed.
  • Participate in meetings and/or presentations with grantors.
  • Any and all other duties assigned.
