Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to help patients get and stay well and to keep the medical office running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly talk to patients and relay doctor's questions and instructions
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support the physicians including point of care tests like urinalysis and EKG
  • Draw blood
  • Administer injections and immunizations
  • Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures and prior authorizations for medications and referrals
  • Measure and record vital signs to prepare a patient for a visit with the doctor
  • Perform basic telephone triage
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
