Location: Lombard, IL

Type: Temp to Hire

Salary range: $19 to $22 per hour depending on experience

Shift: 1st Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and plates according to specifications. This is a critical role in our manufacturing process, and we are looking for someone with experience and expertise in operating press brake machinery.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and plates
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine specifications
- Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate dimensions of finished parts
- Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols

Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role
- Proficiency in using logic controllers and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Familiarity with using measuring tools such as calipers
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM programming for press brake machines
- Experience operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Basic welding skills are preferred but not required
- Proficiency in using hand tools for fabrication purposes
- Experience in materials handling and knowledge of different types of metals
