Health Source Group is in need of multiple skilled and experienced Med/Surg RNs in the upstate NY area.

 

These assignments are 13-week contracts with full-time hours/week and potential to extend.

 

Both days and nights shift available.

 

1 year Med/Surg RN experience required, 2 years preferred.

 

Previous travel experience preferred.

Med Surg RN - 12H Nights- 7p-7:30a - every other weekend required, no call. Holiday rotation. Will be first to float to like units. No self-scheduling. HCP will be scheduled based upon the needs of the facility. *****No Holiday RTO**** UNIT SPECIFICS: 32 bed unit. Primarily surgical with Med Surge. Patients who req specialized nursing for advanced pulmonary disease such as pneumonia and copd; iv pumps, tele remote/ trachs/ bipap/ cpap. Drips; Infusions; Phlebotomy/Venipuncture; Starting IVs; Transports; assist if ICU xfr Weaning Oxygen; Nebulizer to Inhaler REQUIREMENTS: NYS license at time of submission; non negotiable Recent Nursys Minimum two (2) years of specialty experience required; we can screen if hcp has at least 1 year. Prior travel exp but can screen for 1st time travelers BLS (AHA or Am. Red Cross) required; Can obtain before start date if necessary Prior travel experience preferred, but not required. All travelers are required to float to units within their competencies. EMR: Cerner Nurse: Patient ratio – 1:5-7 Pt Pop: 50-100 Scrubs: Navy (Not provided) Shoes: Closed Toe Orientation: Every Other Monday Covid Vaccine is NOT required. Flu season run 9/1-3/31- declinations are accepted3/31- declinations are accepted. ***Must not have worked perm at Ellis no matter how long hcp has been separated
