**About Us:**
Give School Kids a Brake is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for responsible speed limits within school zones to ensure the safety of students, parents, and school staff. Our mission is to create safer environments for children to walk and bike to school by working with local communities, government officials, and law enforcement agencies to implement and enforce appropriate speed limits.

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization in achieving our mission and strategic goals. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization, including but not limited to, advocacy efforts, community outreach, and program development.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the organization's mission and goals
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and partner organizations
- Oversee the development and implementation of advocacy campaigns to promote responsible speed limits in school zones
- Manage a team of staff and volunteers to ensure effective and efficient operations

**Qualifications:**

-Passion for Safe School Speed Zones

- Passion for road safety and children's well-being
- Not required but a background in law enforcement, education administration, teaching, or PTA preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
