Job Title: Better Learning Center Supervisor

Job Summary: The Better Learning Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the learning center. This position requires a strong understanding of the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) curriculum and the ability to implement ACE procedures effectively. The Better Learning Center Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring a nurturing and educational environment for students, as well as providing leadership and support to the teaching staff. NOTE: not a teaching job per se. This is a tutoring of different aged children who need encouragement and mentoring

Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Implementation: Ensure the successful implementation of the ACE curriculum, including selecting appropriate materials, maintaining record-keeping, and monitoring student progress.
  2. Supervision: Provide leadership, support, and supervision to teaching staff, including training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  3. Student Support: Offer academic and pastoral support to students, addressing their individual needs, and ensuring their well-being within the learning center.
  4. Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and organization of the learning center, including managing resources, managing paperwork, and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  5. Parent and Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents and the local community, addressing concerns and participating in communication and outreach efforts.
  6. Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of educational quality, ensuring that ACE procedures are followed rigorously, and academic standards are met.
  7. Financial Oversight: Manage the learning center's budget, expenses, and financial resources efficiently.
  8. Report Generation: Prepare regular reports for educational and administrative purposes, as well as for compliance with BLC standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college or teaching certificate preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) curriculum and procedures.
  • Previous experience in working with children and/or teens
  • Tutoring experience helpful
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to upholding Christian educational principles and values.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, parents, and staff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing educational needs.
