Job DescriptionJob Description

The Position:

Judge Rotenberg Center presently seeks a consulting nutritionist to provide expertise in the areas of weight management, special diets, wellness, and communication with parents. General responsibilities are planning food and nutrition programs; inclusive of individualized meal planning. This may require establishment of short and long-term health goals for students/clients as well as educating the JRC community about health and nutrition. The ideal candidate would be expected to coordinate with JRC’s medical team, programming and clinical services, and develop special nutritional programs specific for students/clients with dietary restrictions or requirements. Evaluative tools to measure programming efficacy are also be established by the nutritionist. This is a non-exempt, part-time, or consulting position that offers moderate scheduling flexibility across approximately two workdays.

 

Educational/Work History Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Nutritionist in the state of Massachusetts.
  • One to three years work experience with multi-handicapped individuals, a plus.
  • Candidates should possess excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Food Program preferred
  • Experience in a school setting is encouraged
