Comptroller

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionVause Equipment, a family owned retail equipment company is looking for a Comptroller.   Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; and 3-5 years of progressively responsible financial management experience. Proven increasingly responsible work experience in auditing and accounting functions including payroll or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

JOB Duties & Responsibilities: duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
 
 ·         Provide leadership, management and direction to the Finance functions and assigned staff, including professional development                        activities, performance evaluations and continuous improvement.·         Prepare financial reports and analyses for external entities (e.g. State and Federal reports).·         Creating and completing financial reporting systems (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual). Perform duties that include exercising              professional judgment in formulating or assisting in the formulation of policies and procedures.·         Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.·         Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.·         Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.·         Comply with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, to include preparing and processing tax payments.·         Process weekly payroll·         Other duties as assigned·         Secure health, W/C ad Liability Insurance Annually.·         Work with outside company on companies profit sharing plan to ensure complete compliance.·         Work closely with CPA for end of year audit.
