Our client in Glendale, CA has an immediate need for a Temporary Tax Accountant. Role is onsite, Monday thru Friday, regular business hours. Only local applicants will be considered. Pay $45 to $65 per hour. The focus of this job will be on real estate taxes, handling multistate tax issues, collaborating with government agencies to resolve tax related matters, and general accounting tasks.

Duties:

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable real estate tax laws and regulations, monitoring deadlines and requirements

  • Conduct in-depth research on property tax issues, including legislative changes and policy updates affecting tax liabilities

  • Manage property tax obligations across various states, understanding the distinct requirements and regulations of each jurisdictions

  • Serve as the primary contact for state and local tax authorities to resolve discrepancies, disputes, and tax assessment issues

  • Calculate and manage tax accruals and ensure accurate representation of tax liabilities in financial records


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in property/real estate tax accounting

  • Strong understanding of multistate property tax laws and accounting principles

  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
