Position Summary:

Our Satellite Telemetry team provides satellite communication services via the Argos and Iridium satellite systems for applications in oceanography, wildlife tracking, soil and moisture monitoring, an herd and livestock management.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing and Posting Clerk to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage all aspects of billing and collections within our business unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business administration, exceptional communication skills, and a keen eye for accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Customer Service, Logistics and Finance to resolve billing and collection issues
  • Create, maintain, and enter client information into the ERP:
    1. New client set up
    2. Contract administration
    3. Monthly invoicing (Services and equipment)
    4. Maintain of clean AR records
    5. Inquiries from customers regarding their bills and resolving any billing discrepancies of disputes professionally.
  • Collection for 2 Business Units: Satellite Telemetry and Sustainable Fisheries Management:
    1. Manage collection process, including sending reminders and statements to customers with outstanding balances.
    2. Follow-up with customers through various communication channels to secure payment
  • Maintains up-to-date records of all billing and collection activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the Business Unit and its departments which includes scheduling, meeting coordination, data entry, and other general administrative tasks.

  • High School Diploma required
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field, preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word & Outlook), and ERP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong understanding of billing and collection processes
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision while prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines
  • Proactive, strategic and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Standing, walking, and bending periodically
  • Engaging in repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers – typing and/or writing
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
