Teaching Artist - Visual Art
Overview: CEI Arts Education is looking for Visual Art Teaching Artists for work in the 2024-25 school year. We are looking for teaching artists with experience teaching visual art projects to K-12 students, parents and teachers. Candidates should have experience teaching a wide range of visual art projects including some of the following --- murals, pop-up books, puppets, graphic novels, stop-motion animation, photography, painting, drawing, etc. --- and be willing to travel within NYC's five boroughs.
Qualifications:
● Minimum of two years experience working as a teaching artist
● BA or MA
● Experience working with NYC Public Schools
● Experience teaching a group of students without a co-teacher
● Experience creating and teaching arts-integrated lessons that teach academic content
● Fingerprinted with NYCDOE and in compliance with NYCDOE health guidelines
● Proficient in all Google Suite applications (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)
● Excellent communication skills
Rate: Half day/Full day
