Job DescriptionJob Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable and accounts receivable data.
  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including payroll processing once set up, inventory management, and handling refunds for returns.
  • Assist with HR functions, including maintaining employee records and handling insurance-related tasks.
  • Learn and utilize accounting practices and procedures with guidance from Carr Riggs.
  • Provide support in various administrative tasks as needed.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, QuickBooks, and other relevant accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems with guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a financial clerk, bookkeeper, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
