Job DescriptionJob DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable and accounts receivable data.
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including payroll processing once set up, inventory management, and handling refunds for returns.
- Assist with HR functions, including maintaining employee records and handling insurance-related tasks.
- Learn and utilize accounting practices and procedures with guidance from Carr Riggs.
- Provide support in various administrative tasks as needed.
Necessary Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office, QuickBooks, and other relevant accounting software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to learn new processes and systems with guidance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a financial clerk, bookkeeper, or similar role.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Experience working in a startup environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
