Location: Asheville, NC

Compensation:

  • Hourly Wage Range: $30.00 - $44.50
  • Shift Differentials:
    • 2nd Shift: $4/hr
    • 3rd Shift: $6/hr
    • Weekend: $3.50/hr (Stackable)
  • Float Pool Premium: Additional $5/hr once off orientation (8-12 weeks)
  • Sign-On/Relocation Bonus: Case by case

Available Shifts:

  • Full-time Nights – 7p to 7a

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg/Telemetry Float Pool RN to join our team. This position offers a great opportunity for growth and entry into specialized areas. The RN will support 12 different medical surgical units, 6 progressive care units, and 5 intensive care units, with opportunities to advance to Progressive Care and Critical Care areas after nine months in the Medical Surgical- Telemetry float pool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care for patient comfort and well-being.
  • Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families.
  • Implement medically prescribed interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Required Education:
    • Associates or Bachelors in Nursing
  • Preferred Education: Master’s in Nursing
  • Required Licenses/Certifications:
    • Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing (eNLC license may apply)
    • BLS Healthcare Provider
  • Preferred Licenses/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty
  • Required Experience:
    • Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Acute Care (hospital) environment.
    • Candidates with one year of solid experience will be considered.

Additional Information:

  • Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:5, may be 1:6
  • Support: Additional support provided by CNA
  • Scheduling: Nurse-driven, autonomous, modified self-scheduling
  • Experience: ED experience welcome
  • Restrictions: No new grads
