We are seeking a creative, driven, and highly motivated Senior Pipefitter to join our team

Summary:

The Pipefitter works in the assembly shop and handles the piping assembly of Ingersoll machines from start to end. It is requested to travel to customers to complete the machine installation in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform piping assembly
  • Perform assembly duties as instructed by the trainer and/or assigned by the supervisor.
  • Material handling
  • Keep the work area clean and safe.
  • Ability to use a crane and other lifting equipment to move and assemble heavy machine components.
  • Ability to bend tubing, flare tubing, crimp hoses, threading pipes.
  • Lay out of fluid and pneumatic components, drill, tap holes proper torque of fastener, sizing clearance holes.
  • Ability to charge nitrogen and oil on accumulator tank, filling power unit, chillers.
  • Ability to test and set hydraulic and pneumatic pressure at machine start-up

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Basic machine shop skills
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and fluid schematics
  • Knowledgeable in the use of shop tooling, measuring equipment, and light machining (manual grinding and turning machines)
  • Ability to read and understand fluid and pneumatic schematics
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose fluid circuit problems
  • Ability to read and understand BOM's
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in a mechanical environment; pipefitter experience required.

Other requirements:

  • Travel national/international as per Ingersoll Service Policy when required
  • Indicative travel time is up to 30%
  • Work overtime when needed to meet company schedule requirements
  • Work on second shift when needed to meet company schedule requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods they are standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
