Responsibilities

Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support and medical supervision of nursing staff and athletic trainer
  • Performance of DEA and State Department physical evaluations
  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries of DEA students and staff (non-contract)
  • Consultation with DEA employees regarding health issues or concerns
  • Emergency response for any emergency within DEA TR buildings or on campus
  • Guidance to DEA leadership, staff, or students regarding health issues or concerns

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be Board Certified in one of the following:
    • Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Preventative Medicine
  • Must possess and maintain a current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the jurisdiction of delivery of care
  • Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license.
