Possible Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist functions of the floor by taking vitals and rooming patients, assist with minor procedures and provide phlebotomy.
- Draw and process lab work as ordered by physicians.
- Support the general success of the medical lines through teamwork and dedication.
- Working closely with the providers.
- Assist in the records room, process incoming labs, handle patient calls, manage outside referrals, file and chart.
- Assist the practitioners by communicating recommendations, taking questions from patients, and documenting completely and accurately in the patient chart.
- Explain testing options and provide patient education, as directed by the physician.
Qualifications and Skills
- A graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting or CNA program
- Proficient in phlebotomy or willing to train
- BLS training and certification preferred
- Dedicated and dependable
- Ability to learn and work quickly in a busy environment
- An interest in holistic care and a career in a private practice
