Medical Assistant

Location:

Providence, RI

Hours:

  • Full time hours
  • Monday - Friday

Clinical Duties

  • Taking medical histories, vitals.
  • Explaining treatment procedures to patients
  • Preparing patients for procedures
  • Assisting the physician during exams
  • Instructing patients about medication and explaining laboratory results
  • Authoring prescription refills as directed
  • Pre-authoring procedures with insurance companies

Administrative Duties

  • Greeting Patients
  • Answering telephones
  • Updating patient medical records
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Arranging for outpatient and laboratory services
  • Handling correspondence

Pay Rate:

  • $17-20 / Depending on experience
