START DATE: 7/15 or 7/29

SHIFT: PM

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6, 8 or 13wks

WEEKLY HOURS: 48

PAY PACKAGES:
Travel = $3400/wk ($40.35/hr, $60.52 OT, $1302 stipend)
Local = $3250/wk ($62.50/hr, $93.75 OT)

Required Certifications: AHA; BLS
Required Licensure: NY RN License

Ratios are 1:5 or 1:6

2 years of recent experience in M/T or PCU in a 300+ bed hospital.
MUST be able to read tele strips INDEPENDENTLY.

Every other weekend, every other holiday
Will float to similar units.

Duties:
- Deliver exceptional patient care in accordance with best practices and protocols.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments to accurately evaluate patients' conditions.
- Administer medications, including IV insertions, following established guidelines.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and responses to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections within the healthcare facility.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.
- Participate in critical care transport as needed for safe patient transfers.
- Stay updated on medical advancements and standards to enhance patient care delivery.

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred.
- Proficiency in conducting medical procedures such as IV insertions and medication administration.
- Strong knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques and emergency response protocols.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
