We have partnered with our client in the search for a motivated Financial Analyst (Cost & Controls) who is ready to evolve in their career, take on challenges, and drive projects all within a dynamic environment where each day brings new opportunities with no two days alike.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Job Location: Hybrid in Phoenix, AZ

Responsibilities

  • Participate in budgeting, conducting financial forecasting, working with policies and procedures, amalgamating information, and leading initiatives toward strategic objectives while maintaining a broad perspective.
  • Provide direct support to the Director, Cost & Contract Analysis.
  • Review and analyze detailed data from meeting outputs and prepare clear, concise analyses tailored to the audience, supported by detailed information.
  • Compile, analyze, prepare reports, compare, evaluate the results, and present results of analysis to financial and business leaders, senior management, and cross-functional workgroups.
  • Develop monitoring techniques to ensure that identified issues, resolutions, and cost savings related to contracting, projects, and licensing are followed through to completion.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contract and pricing terms in accordance with corporate policies, including assessing alternatives and preparing executive summaries for purchases.
  • Resolve issues related to funding, spend analysis, metrics, and contract terms.
  • Collaborate with business units, IT, and external partners to conduct financial reviews of contracts.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting data
  • 5+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting-related field
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense background investigation
  • 5+ years in analyzing, data modeling, trend and gap analysis, and data forecasting preferred
