Job Description:

As a Retail Associate at UW Provision The Meat Market & Local Source Foods, you will be the face of our business, ensuring that every customer leaves our store not just satisfied but thrilled with their experience. You'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your main goal is to make every customer feel valued and taken care of.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service, always going above and beyond to meet customer needs with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, offering product knowledge and recommendations with expertise.
  • Handle and prepare meat products with care, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring products are stocked and presented attractively.
  • Assist in taking and preparing orders with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform lifting and moving of products, up to 60 pounds, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the store, creating a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve customer service and product knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a food retail or meat market setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers warmly and genuinely.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes up to 60 pounds regularly.
  • A passion for food and providing a memorable shopping experience.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

UW Provision is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30-32 hours per week

 

Shift:

8 hour shift

 

Commit to 1 weekend shift a week

Must be able to work both Middleton and Sun Prairie locations, if needed

 

 

Experience:

  • Retail Sales or Restaurant Service: 5 years (Required)
  • High level Customer service: 5 years (Required)

 

Work Location: In person
