One of the leading integration firms in the Southeast is getting even bigger. Our Ops team in Orlando is expanding, and we need qualified people to lead the charge. This is a Mid level position with the opportunity to grow with a growing company.

The primary job of AV technicians is to set up and install media equipment such as in ceiling projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors, and cameras. They also set up additional support AV tools like equipment racks. Additionally, they complete electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction.

As a new hire, you’ll train with our lead technicians at multiple job sites to learn about all our systems and how to install them. Once you learn the ropes you’ll start handling projects from start to finish. You’ll become a familiar face by interacting with our other dedicated departments to ensure premium service such as: Engineering/Drafting, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, and Custom/Service. If you have Rack building knowledge, Crestron or Extron installation this is a plus as well.

Requirements:

  • Good analytical/troubleshooting skills
  • Good written/verbal communication for client relations
  • Work towards achieving licenses (FA Inspector & Install, NICET & CTS)
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Pass a pre-employment test/drug screen
  • Willing to travel when necessary
  • Willing to work overtime/weekends when necessary
  • Must be able to climb and work off ladders
  • It is common for technicians to lift 50 to 80 pounds individually, Furthermore, standing, walking, climbing ladders, and navigating tight spaces is a common requirement for AV technicians
  • AV technicians troubleshoot all equipment issues in a timely manner. Successful technicians strive to exceed expectations
  • Organization skills is a requirement for AV technicians due to the tools, wiring, cables, and parts that they must methodically sort and install
  • Customer service with customers and guests on-site to make sure their desires are met and that equipment is functioning is a major responsibility of these technicians
